Friday's Inspiration & Motivation: Go Slowly, But Don't Stop.
Sometimes we are right at the finished line but we give up because the progress is too slow. Are you still working on the same pile of paper from last month? Don't fret, keep going. When you see the effort you put into letting go of unwanted paper, you will put more thought into letting less into your life to begin with.
In today's microwave, on-the-go, mobile world, it's easy to forget that habits take time to develop. Don't stop because progress is slow, go for the finish line!

Friday's Inspiration & Motivation! Who do you love?
It's so easy to get in the habit of putting yourself last. But even in emergency situations like when the oxygen masks fall from the ceiling in a turbulent airplane, the instructions are to put on your mask before assisting others. Why? You can't help someone else if you're passed out.
Look for ways to put yourself first (in an unselfish and meaningful way) in order to be the best person you can be to serve others cheerfully and whole.
Time Management tip: Invest in yourself by putting YOU back in your calendar. Go head, schedule that massage!

Friday's Inspiration & Motivation! You're A Work In Progress
Labeling yourself as someone who is always/has always been disorganized, is setting yourself up for failure. Give yourself the space to grow, know your limitations, don't compare your progress to another person but continue to work at it.
I believe in you!

Interview With An Organizer: Jane Lovas
Just about every week I meet some
awesome folks! Because I provide a lifestyle service, I try to have as many
outstanding professionals in my back pocket that can assist my clients to have
a fabulous life personally and professionally.
These interviews are also meant to show that we all have our own style of keeping it together, organized, and productive. I'm the Organizer but certainly not a know-it-all (if my mom or husband is reading I advise them to stop laughing now).
Here is the latest interview. Enjoy!

* Engage others in your vision and verify they all "get it"Stay focused on
what’s important enabling you to do less and create
more
* Delegate what needs to be delegated, empowering others to use their unique abilities
* Create the systems that support your growth
Name one thing you're really good at keeping organized in your business? Uhm... i make really nice piles of papers. I keep my calendar organized. I have a variety of meetings and when I double schedule or I'm late.... Being late is one of my pet peeves.
Any specific organizing tool? Online calendars and the calendar on my phone. I
also use a notebook as I like to take notes.
How do you keep track of your
networking and clients/profits and expenses? When I'm in an organized routine, I use different
colored pens in my notebook. It makes it easier to go back and find notes. I
also color code meeting types and add travel times into my calendar.
How do you stay motivated to keep organized? (book, advice, routine, person)
What is your biggest organizing conundrum? I'm not an on-going task orientated person. I am great at creating plans and systems based on where you want to go, but doing them day by day --- not so much.

I to use an online scheduler to help schedule my appointments. I need check my calendar a couple of times a week to ensure that I've added travel time if I've scheduled appointments in different areas. If I don't do this I can end up with back to back appointments with no travel time. I'm not perfect so every time I have to reschedule due to not enough travel time I will be very diligent about keeping an eye on my calendar and verifying my schedule. I don't like having to call and reschedule.

Guest Blog Post: Creating Your Sacred Hour
Wednesday Morning Coffee Break
By Jane Lovas of Lovas Consulting
What do you do each morning when you start work? Do you jump in and start reading emails, returning calls, answering questions, solving problems ... you know all that urgent stuff that busy people do every day to keep busy.
Do you know what the effect this would have on the rest of your day and even more important on the growth of your business 90 days or a year or even five years from now?
I want to share a simple technique that will have a slow and dramatic change on you and your business. This is the implementation of The Sacred Hour in your business day. This Sacred Hour is the most important hour you'll spend working on your business each day. When you get to your office get a cup of coffee, tea, water (anything you want), make sure your desk is clear of stuff (ideally you'll have cleaned it off as you finished the evening before, mute your phone and shut down your email and have a pen and paper accessible.
Now what are you going to do in this hour. There are basically two different ways to use this time. You choose which one is the right one for you, knowing that you can change at any time.
Sacred Hour - Silence. For this hour I want you to sit there, yes just sit there. Look out the window, twiddle your thumbs, or doodle on your paper. Think about what your business, your employees, your vendors, your clients. Think about what might help them; think about how you might do something different. Think about whatever you want, think about nothing. Think about new ideas, new concepts anything you want to think about.
What's the point of doing this? When we are busy doing things our minds are so focused on what's happening that there is no room for new ideas to break through. What you're creating in this Sacred Hour is space for those ideas that have been lurking under all the happenings to bubble up.
Sacred Hour - Focus. This hour provides you focused and uninterrupted to work on an idea, project, writing, reading anything that you know has the potential to take your business to a new level.
The reason for doing this is to let your mind know that it has uninterrupted time to let the thoughts flow and create new and more powerful ideas and concepts. So often we're rushing to get something done, pulling and pushing instead of relaxing and letting the ideas flow.
What happens if you finish early and you still have time left in your Sacred Hour? In that case, spend your last few minutes in Sacred Hour Silence.
I know I know, I can hear you now. "I'm too busy," "I have meetings scheduled," "I have calls to make." I agree all very "important" things you need to do. Ask yourself this. If you changed those meetings and returned the calls or emails after your Sacred Hour what really would happen? Would you lose a million dollar contract or even a potential client? I'm betting not. On the other hand could an idea birthed and clarified during your Sacred Hour create a million dollar contract, a new product or land you a new client?
Our minds need space to create and time to expand. Give your mind this gift and see what gifts your mind gives back to you.
